Cookie Policy
Kochi uses a small number of cookies and browser storage items, all needed to keep you signed in, make payments work and remember your settings. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage are similar browser features that let a site remember information on your device. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab; local storage stays until you or the site clears it.
Cookies we use
All of our cookies are strictly necessary. They are set by our authentication provider, Supabase, on the Kochi domain, and the Platform cannot work without them. Visitors who do not sign in receive no Kochi cookies at all.

Browser storage we use
These items stay on your device and are not sent to us automatically. Your currency choice is also saved to your profile when you are signed in, so it follows you between devices.

Third-party cookies
When you make a payment, Paystack’s secure checkout window opens and may set its own cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud. If you choose “Sign in with Google”, Google may set cookies on its own pages. Those cookies are governed by Paystack’s and Google’s policies.
The Platform does not include analytics, advertising, social media tracking pixels or embedded videos that set cookies.
Why we do not show a cookie banner
Strictly necessary cookies, and storage that only remembers choices you make, do not need consent. Because that is all we use, we do not show a cookie banner. If we ever add cookies that are not strictly necessary, such as analytics, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
Managing cookies
You can view and delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking or deleting them has these effects:
- deleting the sign-in cookies signs you out, and blocking them prevents you from signing in;
- clearing local storage resets your contrast, theme and currency settings and empties your cart;
- clearing session storage during sign-up means re-entering what you had typed.
