Why can't I purchase products yet?
Kochi uses an assessment-first model so purchases stay tied to professional recommendations—here is why that protects you and how to move from “blocked” to “ready to buy.”
Assessment-first purchasing
If you see a message that purchasing is not available, your account has not yet met the platform rule that links checkout to a completed assessment (or an equivalent approved pathway for your role).
That rule exists because assistive products are highly individual: the wrong size, pressure setting, or seating geometry can cause injury or abandonment of an expensive device.
Why this matters
The restriction can feel inconvenient in the moment, but it is one of the main ways Kochi keeps the catalogue trustworthy for everyone who depends on these devices.
- Safety: reduces the chance of ordering a device that is inappropriate for your clinical picture.
- Fit and function: improves the odds that seating, propulsion, and controls match your daily environment.
- Professional accountability: creates a shared record linking advice to purchase.
- Quality: keeps the marketplace aligned with responsible dispensing practices.
- Better outcomes: you invest effort once in assessment rather than paying twice after a poor self-directed guess.
What to do next
From your dashboard, review your assessment status. If no assessment is scheduled, start a booking request. If an assessment is in progress, complete any outstanding tasks the assessor assigned.
If you believe your account should already be cleared to purchase—for example, you completed an equivalent assessment outside Kochi—use Contact support with documentation so our team can review your case.
